An interesting read. Top 5 teams in terms of fan support in the top 210 TV Markets.. 1. Ohio State 2. Michigan 3. Penn State 4. Notre Dame 5. Texas Geography of College Football.
The top ten not surprisingly has UF in it...at #9 but the surprises to me are Tex A&M at #6 and Auburn and Clemson both in the top ten period. Didn't realize their fan base was so big. For UF.....the split in Florida for fan base is significant with Alabama in the west, Georgia to the north ( Jax fans ) and the three large state schools of FSU, Miami and UF.
A&M being on that list shouldn't be much of a surprise when you consider the size of the DFW/Houston/Austin-San Antonio markets. Houston is only 2 hours away, and has the biggest concentration of alums. Thanks Terry for cutting off the list just ahead of us!
Good news always welcome esp this year and we're happy at the validation of that which we always believed hence the name..... Buckeye Nation. The real question is this......are there any experienced QB's and/or wideouts with eligibility remaining in that group?
