Alabama handled Penn State pretty well today. No turnovers, and the defense did well. I think we can run the ball, we just don't.

I watched almost the whole game, very solid performance by the Tide.

Congratulations on the win kp. With all the other games I was watching I didn't get a chance to see this one and it appeared to be yours from the start.

I am looking forward to our game with you and a whole host of other SEC games this season.

Our owner (my boss) is an Alabama guy. He has this incredible pulse for the program. He called the loss to SCAR and LSU last year..

This year I believe his 'trap games' as he refers to them were Arkansas and Miss State.. (his reasoning for both is sound). There is one game that worries him that he believes could be a trap game and that was at Florida. It's the Charlie thing. Funny, for a guy who had his 'decided schematic advantage' mocked at ND, it now seems to be praised at Florida..

As for this game, he was forever confident that they'd chew up and maul Penn State (he's from South Jersey, this is a family game for him).. Alabama and LSU clearly have the two best defenses I've seen this year and it's not close.. maybe BYU at a distant 3rd.. You guys are stout.

    Corey,
This Alabama team is not yet as strong as the 2009 team. I think our running game depends on running 35 to 40 times and we are calling that many running plays. Richardson and Lacy over and over and over is the way to go. That's my idea not Saban's obviously. The defense is very good. Not great but very good. Losing 2 this year would be expected, less than that would be a plus and require some luck. Luck is usually the deciding factor in championship seasons. :)

Thing that impressed me most were that Alabama LB's were 260 and 270lbs and still very fast. I remember when SEC LB's were fast of course, but much lighter.
