    Uh Terry...

    That offer consisted of:
an unequal split of revenue(what a suprise!), with Texas retaining control of programming.

I certainly can't imagine why we didn't RUSH to sign up for that offer...

Of course ESPN won't mention the fact that Bill Byrne also suggested a Big XII network which your school immediately rejected...

Texas A&M.. the ungrateful field slave who scoffed at the offer to come indoors and scrub floors...

    re: Stanford and Cal-Berkeley

The lefties on both of those campuses hate Mormons. It's that simple. Remember, Stanford has the band that celebrated the Irish Potato Famine in a halftime show a few years back and the fact that more than four million Irish starved to death in a four year period was just hilarious to them. They're capable of anything.

There were campus protests years ago to prevent the schools from scheduling BYU in ANY sport, because of their Mormon views.

Baylor Grad John McClain, who is the Texans beat writer for the Chronicle said it's a desperate grasp by some Baylor alums to try and fend off the inevitable. If the B12 goes away Baylor is in a very bad place, they are not attractive to any BCS league and they are having a hard time accepting it.

    A sad and pathetic thing...
I was told a few minutes ago that Baylor has backed off the threat, so an announcement can come any time...

It's Colorado's fault. We tried to reason, they just left. 8)

The SEC doesn't have to do anything. If Baylor retracts the objection, it's a done deal.

As long as you are drawing lame political lines in a sports forum, how about Donna Shalala overseeing all of the corruption at the University of Miami? Did her previous 8 year stint under Clinton help with that? ;)

She does have grime on her that's for sure from her stint at Miami.

I just thought it was curious that Starr is/was the lone hold-out.....the fly in the ointment....or perhaps the attention grabber here...
