Dude, you can get a car without a radio...but it's hard to shift without a clutch.

    Quarter Mile 14.4 @ 96 mph
    0-60mph 6.1 seconds
    Skidpad 0.83 g's
    Top speed 145 mph

Pretty pedestrian by y'alls standards...but I did buy it new for $11,000.

I can't wait to get it on the "Tail". Going to Tennessee the first week in November. Hoping for a sunny day and some great pictures.

24MPG average... Not even close. However, the advertised is 14 city 23 hwy. Not bad for a 392 C.I.D V-8 4000 lb car that puts out 470 h.p. and 470 ft/lbs of torque. The sound coming from the exhaust is phenomenal.

My memory may be fading but the performance of the legendary '70 TA Challenger 340 six-pack pales in comparison. The 440 six-pack AAR Cuda (never owned but did drive) had 48 more cubic inches but 60 h.p less. Even the 426 hemi Cuda in 1970 was rated at 425 h.p., 45 hp less than the SRT-8.

Thank you Dodge for making a vehicle to replace the "American Muscle" of my youth. It is once again fun to drive. I have actually driven into the building 41 office yesterday and will again today... not because I have to... but because it is fun. Of course I'm not getting as much work done thinking about running out to lunch and then driving home! 8)

I was pleasantly surprised... Filled up the Challenger for the first time yesterday. The trip computer showed 18.3 mpg. The actual calculation came out to 18.709. That is 6.1 mpg BETTER than the truck I was driving. I was also guilty of several "demonstrations of acceleration" while attaining that mileage.

Some of that increased mileage is offset by the necessity for premium fuel vs regular for the truck due to the 10.9:1 compression ratio. Fuel cost/mile on the truck was $0.265 and the Challenger came in at $0.19. Super fun... lower fuel cost... I like it.

I did find one design flaw with the Challenger but there is a fix. For states that require a front license plate, the factory bracket is mounted to the front bumper requiring you to drill two holes through that beautiful paint job. It's expensive but I found a billet aluminum aftermarket bracket that positions the plate just below the front bumper. The bracket fits through the lower grill and mounts to bumper support brackets. No holes to drill. Once the registration arrives where I can mount the plates, I will take a picture of the front plate location.
