Hey why not. This is the same spot on the planet where OJ was not convicted of murder because Furman was a racist.

That would give him a great rallying point against the Gators wouldn't it?

Thank you Tom, I appreciate your invitation!!! :D :D :D

Wish that I was on ole Rocky Top
    Down in the Tennessee Hills.
Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top,
    Ain't no telephone bills.

Once I had a girl on Rocky Top,
    Half bear the other half cat;
Wild as a mink as sweet as soda pop,
    I still dream about that.

    CHORUS

    Rocky Top, you'll always be,
    Home sweet home to me.
    Good ole Rocky Top,
    Rocky Top Tennessee.

Once two strangers climbed ole Rocky Top,
    Lookin' for a moonshine still.
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top,
    Reckon they never will.
Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top,
    Dirt's too rocky by far.
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top,
get their corn from a jar.

    CHORUS

    I've had years of cramped up city life;
Trapped like a duck in a pen.
All I know is it's a pity life,
    Can't be simple again.

    CHORUS

I've never known the words to that song either.

All I can say is......uh.....ok.

.....and at least it beats the Detroit Lion's fight song ( oxymoron )

    (Verse)
Hail the colors Blue and Silver let them wave.
Sing their song and cheer the Gridiron Heroes brave,
Fighting for fame, winning the game,
Dashing to victory as they go.

    (Chorus)
    Forward down the field,
A charging team that will not yield.
And when the Blue and Silver wave,
    Stand and cheer the brave.
    Rah, Rah, Rah.
    Go hard, win the game.
With honor you will keep your fame.
    Down the field and gain,
    A Lion victory!

People never sing it but the music is stirring....most opposing fans have heard it over and over....ad nauseum at times...... but there are words to Florida's fight song:

    "Orange and Blue"

So give a cheer for the orange and blue
    Waving Forever
    Forever Pride of old Florida
    May She droop never
We'll sing a song for the flag today
Cheer for the team at play
On to the goal we'll fight our way
    For Florida!

Geesh! Go to a game in Knoxville and you hear that !#$$%# song, over and over and over and over... well you get the idea

Also, I agree. Right now all we have really heard is the very loud proclamations of a scorned lover...I mean former booster. More to follow I am sure. And now....the rest of the story..... :?

Alabama also has a couple of the former Miami assistants on Saban's staff. Man I hope they haven't done something stupid.

I can't imagine that Bama guys will survive this. One of them is neck deep and most Tide alums and boosters I know are openly calling for his resignation. I believe it's the director of football operations.. From some of the stuff I read, he was neck deep in all of this.

Thanks to Miami for taking the spotlight off of Tennessee. Word is filtering down that there will be no further sanctions against neither the football nor the basketball program.

    KP,

I don't think he has. I don't see how he survives this though. I can see why Saban wouldn't want to get rid of him as it looks like you are disassociating from guilt right away... at the same time, there's no denying this guy did this stuff at his previous job and keeping him around looks like you sanction it.

They threw Major Applewhite under the bus, in a nice way.. This guy deserves the quick ticket.

Applewhite was in over his head. I think he knew it so going back to Texas was as much his idea as anyone's.

    Ain't that the damned truth.

That's why you never see me piling on in these kinds of circumstances....

You're correct Terry. The self imposed sanctions were probably the key to no more NCAA sanctions. I like Bruce but he dug his own grave.
