Do we manually end the contest at the completion of the week before the "short week" happens?

This was brought up and discussed during the contest last year. Week 14 was the short week. We don't have to put a number to it. We could end the contest when the week comes up, conference championship week I believe.

Please consider option 3 at poor attempt a humor.

Did Cindy vote for option three or did Treefrog chime in? ... or did someone think this was the easiest way to come to the inevitable conclusion? :?

Why end in before the "short week"? Why the bias against it? Just because fewer points?

Very interesting games and may provide someone a chance to close some ground.

The only reason to drop a week was in case somebody forgot to get their picks in one time. The problem was that having a short week negated that solution...and then the short week didn't count for most of us anyway.

Since we aren't dropping a week the short week provides a little end of the season Big Game interest. What would be the reason for dropping it?

Sorry I saw this late...looks like it's already been voted down. Wished we'd had a chance to discuss it first.

Stu brings up a good point. However, I think the issue was having the contest decided before the last week. The short week usually has 21 to 28 points available. Just make is a little anticlimactic.

Still many more people in the contest than votes here. The voting trend could change.

    My convoluted vote would be:
(I voted to end it early in this poll)

Stop before the short week if we are dropping a week.
Go all the way if we are NOT dropping a week.

OK... we are not dropping a week unless 7 people vote to do so in the next 2 hours... not likely.

We have had another vote for "NO".

Scott's last post sounds like he wants to change his vote due to the not dropping weeks.

That means that the official vote is 4 yes to 5 no and one vote wasted on the "poor attempt at humor" option 3.

A few more days to go with 20 people registered, not everyone has voted.

Yeah, I'd say run it all the way with no drops.

    You snooze... YOU LOSE! :)
