Said Stevie Williams after being on the bag for Adam Scott this week and guiding him to the win.

Talk about a shot at Tiger, I mean he was on the bag at Torrey Pines, he was on the bag for a lot of other huge wins by Tiger...so this win in a good tournament no doubt but still it's not a major and how he can say it was the best win of great career is a little much.

Oh yeah and they are still talking about how he was fired, Stevie said he was fired over the phone and Tiger said he did it man to man.

CBS should be ashamed of the decision to interview Steve Williams. They were looking for salacious results and they got them. Bascially a spurned caddie who is whining and vindictive. Saying that the Bridgestone win was better than any of his 13 Majors was both stupid and shallow at once.

By the way, does anyone remember who won the tournament? His caddie forgot to mention his name.

I was fired in 1986 from a company that competed in business with my next job that I landed one month later.

At the new firm I worked over the company that fired me every chance I got.....and it happened often. In fact I wreaked absolute havoc on them in some segments of their business over the years......it was equisite revenge and supreme motivation.

I signed a one year non-compete upon my layoff in Dec. 2008 with that new company 22.5 years later.....an agreement which has now expired but I am in Florida....working a different industry segment.

The one thing I do miss now though is that opportunity to compete against my old firm. It puts quite a pep in your step when you hit the floor and know that you might take some business away from the firm that laid you off.

So yes....I understand very well the motivation of Tiger's caddy.....and his internal satisfaction derived from this past weekend.

Tiger finished tied for 37 and made $58,000. Williams made almost twice as much from his share of the winner's purse.
It could be that Williams had a much more enjoyable week than he had when he worked for Tiger. As you recall part of his job for Tiger entailed heavy-handing the gallery around Tiger especially those that snapped photos during his backswing. Maybe this week he just had to be a caddie.
Williams had to spend months sitting waiting for Tiger to return to action. He flew all the way over to the US from New Zealand only to find out Tiger wasn't going to play in the US Open. Mr. Wonderful could have a least given him more notice.
As soon as Williams felt finacially compelled to return the the course and caddie for someone,Tiger shitcanned him. I don't blame him if he feels he wasn't treated well by Eldrick.

I would venture a guess that no one heard of Steve Williams before he was hired by Woods and that he was not a multi-millionaire either as he was the day Woods released him.

Have a little class. Don't burn your bridges either. he was the only caddie I ever saw interviewed and it wasn't because he was Adam Scott's caddie.... it was because he was Tiger's ex.

Before he worked for Woods, he caddied for an obscure golfer named Greg Norman.

Yeah he has an impressive resume as a Caddy. Something like 150 wins on the bag.

That makes my point. Even caddying for those big names, nobody knew who he was until he caddied for Woods. 8)

Article on the wires today. Apparently Adam Scott had a little talk with Stevie Williams and there will be no more of his whining soliloquies.

The article also mentioned that more than a few of the fellow tour pros were less than thrilled with Williams.

He did manage to whine some more though even while sting that he will let our clubs do the talking from here on.

I think he didn't do himself any favors with his behavior the last few weeks.

Where's AJ. Everytime a golfer chokes in a big event he recommends that the golfer "fire his caddie."

Yahoo sports had an article where Williams admits he was over the top and shouldn't have said it. Said he was just angry at Tiger.
