The blockbuster trade that the Red's made to steal away reliever to bolster their bullpen has apparently gone south, they have no prospects and the reliefer is on the DL. GM's are pointing fingers, grievances will be filed, the Reds were cheated!!! I feel so bad for them! ;)

Well...as they say in poker, "Its no game for a blind man."

This cheating trade is chickenfeed compared with the blockbuster trades which followed the 1965 World Series between the Dodgers and the Twins. The Dodgers had discovered that their great shortstop Maury Wills, was experimenting with drugs and hanging around with the Hollywood crowd, so they traded him to the Pirates and obtained Twins starting shortstop, American League MVP Zoilo Versailles...

They should have smelled a rat. If you already have the best shortstop in your league, why trade him? The Dodgers were laughing out loud about how they had picked the Twins pockets... They kept laughing right up until Spring Training when their team doctors gave them some bad news about their new shortstop: Zoilo Versailles was a heroin addict.
