....of great recruiting for Florida: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/teamrank/2012/all/all #4 in August with 15 commitments is about as high at this stage of the game as I can remember for the Gators. Good thing as Jimbo Fisher is still reeling in top prospects for FSU.
Comments: - I'm still suspicious of FSU. I suspect that they're crooked. - Michigan is a surprise. I wonder if the new coach can keep that up. I suspect that he can. - Miami is also a surprise, but they are in a good area, so it looks like they're taking care of business. - It's still early. Several schools that always get some 5-stars don't have one yet and they will shoot up the rankings when they do like: Alabama; Penn State; Notre Dame; USC; Oklahoma; Ohio State; and Texas A&M. - Oregon has been keeping a low profile. Their recruiting activities have been attracting a lot of attention lately... - Neuheisel is in major trouble at UCLA.
Wouldn't surprise me a bit. Note at #4 that UF doesn't have a 5 star yet either and the Gators always get a few of those.
Suspicious or not they are stacking up lots of talent... http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/6831127/jameis-winston-commits-florida-state
FSU is heading for the #1 class, can you believe that they have gotten four ...4...excellent players out from Alabama where the last 2 Nat'l Champions reside?
It's gratifying to see Muschamp recruiting well. I've always been suspicious of FSU. Not to put down Miami's class but where they are ranked so far has as much to do with quantity as quality. There star rating is less than a lot of the schools on the list.' Having said that I think their coach is doing a good job recruiting. Same teams that always seem to recruit well.
And thankfully what began with Emmitt Smith has continued under 4 different coaches for Florida since then. Seems like a trend. 8)
kp it looks like you got a bit of revenge with Chris Black going to Bama over FSU... http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/6836795/chris-black-chooses-alabama-crimson-tide-florida-state-seminoles
......us too! http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20110805/ARTICLES/110809698/1153?Title=Five-star-offensive-lineman-pledges-to-UF ....awwwright!
I hear that your 5* OL recruit will be taking an offical visit to Texas so maybe he's not a 100% sold on being a Gator. Wait till he gets a load of our stadium, our town, and Texas girls, and of course our BBQ and Mexican Food!!!
