After watching them run puerto rico off the court, and with the great young talent they have on that team. Is their any question in anyones mind that they will cruise to gold.

Didn't see the game, but from what I read there seems to be some good chemistry on this team. I think that has been a problem, guys not really wanting to play or treating it like the NBA All-Star game. But we'll see how they do when the tournament starts.

Sort of reminds me of the way that the Russians throttled our Hockey team just before the '80 Olympics. Ya never know.

Thats true, but if you compare the last olympic roster to this one... its like night and day

If the U.S. was to go down in these olympics, it could go down as one of the most embarrasing losses in our sports history.

But with Dwyane and Lebron sharing the court, i cant possibly see that happening

Looks like a yao-ming-less chinese team never had a chance. Lebron led the way with 23 points

119-73. As i said before, this team will not be taken down

Yao missed the game nursing an injured foot? I thought he was fully recovered from that injury. I hope he's going to be 100% for the start of the Rockets training camp. He looked great last year before the foot injury. Rockets can be a very good team this year, but only if Yao and TMac are 100%

Yeah whatever happened to those houston rockets. With a combo like T-mac and Yao, its hard to believe they havent made a big push yet

Rocket team of 2004/2005 made the playoffs and took the Mav's to the limit. Improvement was expected for 2005/2006, but TMac went out with a back and Yao who was showing a ton of improvement towards being the Center everybody knows he's capable of being then went out with a foot injury. That was it, the team struggled to the end.

This year we are expected to be back on track to be a team on the rise, but it will only happen if TMac and Yao are healthy. There is no talk locally about Yao continuing to have foot problems, that's why I was surprised that he was held out of the game with TeamUSA.

Still rolling, D-Wade had 26 the other night to take down yao and the chinese team. Its tough to watch the games though, when the starting times are either at 1am or 6 in the morning

As a Rocket fan I'm glad to see Shane Battier playing well as well as one of the guards for the Greek team who will come to camp for the Rockets when the tourney is over. Also gives Yao a chance to test his foot.

Once again the US team falls flat. In the end the aim of the game is to put the ball into the hoop. It's great to run and jump over dunking on players with less athletic ability but at some point, if you're denied from the jams, you have to prove you actually can shoot the ball. Once again the Americans proved that when they HAD to shoot from the outside they couldn't. Oh well, time to go practice your windmill and 360 jams. You'll be on Sportscenter inspirisng future losers next week.

After getting run out of the Pan American games a few years back, US coach George Karl said that the US no longer was the king of the basketball world. He said the current players were fundamentally deficient .

    People thought he was nuts.....
