Ohio State certainly one with being selected #1 in the first Coaches Poll.

Texas in trying to maintain their great ride and National Championship last year.

Notre Dame fans and media have the Irish competing for nothing less than a National Championship. (USA Today)

LLoyd Carr is probably under the gun if he loses to Ohio State again this year!

I am sure some of you have other choices.

Wojo needs to check NCAA grad stats, esp for black players before he states his players leave with diplomas.

How about Rich Rodriguez at West Virginia? He'll have to spend the entire season defending that ridiculously easy schedule they play.

I would think Lloyd Carr is on the hottest seat of all, followed closely by Larry Coker.

I'd put Larry Coker at the top of the hotseats.

BTW, with 2 freshman QB's who have never played in a game. How many losses do you think Mack Brown can have this year before the "Mack Can't Coach" crowd ramps up the volume again?

I do think the pressure is on Lloyd in Ann Arbor but given all his successes he would have to have a 5-7 record two years in row and run his OSU record to 1-6 before he would get the broom.

That is not going to happen. In all likelihood this will be one of those years that Michigan rises up and snatches another Big 10 title.

Henne could lead the way and I'm not convinced Iowa can wrestle the title away from UM and I'm not convinced OSU can find enough defense with all they have to replace. Depth could be an issue by the time OSU faces Michigan.

Down in the Swamp..expectations are high for Meyer's second year and so if he were to... say lose three SEC games and have a Zook-like SEC finish the pressure will be very, very turned up. Chris Leak also has the pressure because it's his last year. I hope both rise to the occasion.

No doubt about it that ND and Weiss are under the pressure of enormous expectations. Anything less than a BCS bowl will be very disappointing to the Irish and their fans. I think it's a stretch that they make it but you never know what Quinn might pull off. Bet the over.....

Fulmer needs to have a good year. If he beats UF, and UAla and wins the ones he is supposed to win then he lives to fight another year. If he falters again the natives will definitely be sharpening their spears.

If we use Bobda as the bench mark for the Michigan fan, I'd have to say that you are right that Lloyd would have to have some Willingham like seasons for him to be shown the door.

I am agreement with MCG. While there are more than a few unhappy fans, the fact is that Michigan has either won or shared the B10 title and went to the Rose Bowl 2 out of the last three years, which is not all that shabby. Obviously, the string of losses against Ohio State and ND is starting to cause a mutiny among M fans but Carr still has the support of the administration. He is not going anywhere

Regarding this season, this is a team that has talent and depth at every position except QB. If Henne goes down with an injury, things will get very dicey. But, if he stays healthy, this team will contend for the B10 crown which should be a real dog-fight this year with OSU, M, Iowa, Penn State and even Michigan State having teams that could contend for the title. Like MCG, I think people who think OSU is head and shoulders above everyone else in the B10 underestimate how difficult it will be to replace guys lost to graduation such as Hawk and Carpenter. I know Ohio is never short on talent but I don't think players of their caliber come around in every class.

Other than Henne, the only other major concern I have is Hart's health. If Hart plays as he did his freshman year, the offense will have tremendous balance and will be hard to defend. I think our defense will be much better as it will be more physical than it has been for the past few years with English as our DC. My Domer friends who are waiting for our implosion will have to wait a little longer.....
