    56 games in a row will last forever. On the other hand, in the same year, Teddy Ballgames .406 could be broken :!:

    Hi Joel! Happy Mother's Day! It certainly seems like the 56 game streak is ironclad. They say nothing lasts forever. In this case, I'm not so sure.

    Like JO'Co, in this day and age I don't see anyone getting to 56 games or a .400 batting average.

    The 400 average will come from a guy who for one reason or another gets the minimum at bats.
