I'm not a big fan of him, but he's right on this Libya thing... It's been a huge mistake, and it's all on Obama. He can't claim he inherited it from Bush. Libya Iraq was a mistake that was on Bush, Afghanistan was a mistake but less on Bush as Dems like Al Gore wanted us to go in there as well. It's been a big mistake, we've never found Osam Bin Laden, we've lost troops, the Taliban are stronger than ever, we'll never convert them to Western Style Democracy. Egypt was our best case senario in terms of regime change in the Middle East. Syria is brutally crushing opposition, Iran brutally crushed opposition last year. It's a no win situation for us. You feel for the people of those countries, but if they want regime change they have to be the ones to do it, it'll cost them blood. But it cost our forefathers blood to boot the British out and more Blood to preserve it nearly 100 years later.
Our peerless leader started a war with Libya just as he went off on vacation to Brazil. When he got back, he took command of the military situation by not only bombing Khadaffi's army, but threatening to bomb the rebels as well, while he tried earnestly to determine which side posed the least threat to his reelection chances... I couldn't help but wonder... what would Rufus T. Firefly do in a situation like this? http://youtu.be/ainB3iF3ehU
I hear that whomever is sitting at the top of the heap in Egypt is now making overtures to Iran. You watch.... we help overthrow Mubarak and in return we get a fundamentalist Muslim government who allies with Iran. Why can't we mind our own business?
