It's Jimmer Time!! Can you stop him? :)

I have to admit I'm rooting for Jimmer, and hope he has another highlight reel game. I want to see him make it to Houston and the Final 4. I've got final four tickets.

Good game, Gators played very well and kept Jimmer off balance all night. Oh he got a lot of points, but he had to take a lot of shots inorder to get those points.

    Congrats (drats) to the Gators!

    Thanks.....whew!!!

Tough game to watch but the Gators prevailed and live on......

I think we can make the Final Four but after that all bets are off because I remember too well the drubbing these guys took by Ohio State in Dec......and Kansas is probably that good too.

I think Jimmer's stock went down last night. He took a truckload of ill advised shots. He also exposed a weakness... he moves light years better to his right than to his left.

Gators did the same thing to Jimmer that FSU did to Hansborough. They didn't give him any room to take his shot. He was reduced to mad dashes to the basket and off balance 3's. He had to take a lot of shots to get his points. It was classic white boys can't jump.

Visited UK's message board....just looked in is all.

They are squirmin now about the prospect of UF basketball making 4 Final Four appearances with two national titles since their beloved Cats last even went to a Final Four....( 12 years ago )

Football is one thing up in Bluegrass country but to be out done by a fellow SEC member in roundball is very hard for them to take.

Hopefully the Gators can survive Butler and make it in this year but really.....I don't think this bunch could do much more than that.

Interesting question.......it seems that making the Final Four carries a lot of prestige in BB but I just can't see the same type of props given to a Final Four in football......if there were to be a playoff.

Would making a football "Final Four" take the place of winning the Sugar Bowl or the Rose Bowl??

H missed a high percentage of 3's and was the only BYU player in double digits. By contrast we had 4 players score in double digits and the next one had 9 points.

Gators are playing as a team.

But...........we were only 10 of 22 from the foul line, that almost cost us the game.

MCG, I totally agree! I would hate for the best 4 (or 8 or 16) football teams in the country to have to play for the national championship. It would be disgusting. I think I would probably have to boycott the whole bowl season. I wouldn't want to ruin the regular season.

I was shocked that Kentucky beat Ohio State.

Now I don't know just how good they are.

I had a friend at school ask me if I thought any SEC teams would make the Sweet 16, now we have two in the Elite 8.

Right now Arizona looks like the best team to me.

Kentucky may well be the most talented team in the nation. Like a lot of Cal's teams, he loads up on McDonald's AAs and doesn't care if they stick around. Ergo, they have little cohesion and zero leadership thru most of the season. However, he builds and coaches towards the tournament. It's all about how they are finishing..

He doesn't build for next year, he builds for March... and then leaves town before the authorities arrive.
