    Doc,

Where do the Longhorns stand with running backs for the upcoming season?

Don we are well stocked. Jamal Charles is a stud, and he's probably the fastest RB in the country, he finished 4 in the NCAA 100m and 7 in the NCAA 200m. Jamal had a great freshman year and played well against you guys in Columbus. Selvin Young is the other back you can count on seeing, he's also fast, and he's a little more physical than Charles. The 3rd back is a slimmed down Henry Melton who is a big physical back, last year he played at 270, I have read that he's lost 20 lbs at the urging of the coaching staff. He's a load.

We do have 2 outstanding freshman who should see action this year if we get into blowout situations, which I don't expect will happen on Sept 9th.

The loss of Ramonce Taylor to academics and drug charges hurts the offense because he was as fast as Charles and played WR, KR, and some TB. A very explosive player, he was the guy who your KO team chased all around the endzone and he ended up outrunning them for a good return when it looked like it was going to be a safety.
