My Yankees pitching staff looks like the Hogs from the Old Redskins.

Sabathia supposedly lost 25lbs but will still weigh in at 270-275. Joba found the 25 that CC lost and showed up around 275 with a piss poor attitude to boot. Phil Hughes came in with nice belly and at about 250. Relics Bartolo Colon ( 5'10" and 270 and Freddie Rodriguez ( 6'4" and 260 ) round out a real stout pitching staff.

    I see a long year.

At least they're real pitchers. We have five tomata cans and an empty bullpen. We also have not one, but two catchers who can hit .225; a CF who hits .205; Punch & Judy batting 3rd & 4th; a revolving door of unwanted free agents in leftfield; a rookie manager and an owner who has less money and less class than the Clipper's owner Donald Sterling...

Do you think Joba will make it through this season as a Yankee? If he does, he probably won't be one next year.

    Jim,

Tell me about this catcher the Yanks picked up from LA. Girardi has been raving about him already.

    PJ,

I think Joba will be part of any trade the Yanks make from this point on.

Russell Martin was the captain of the Dodgers. He was our heart and soul. Only a cheap, Commie, Frisco faggot, would have let him go. He's one of the best catchers in baseball and he's also one of the best 3rd basemen too. He comes through in the clutch and he lives for baseball. He's the kind of player who would slide head-first into the bat rack if it could gain him an extra base. His mother said that she used to worry about him, because it was all he wanted to do.

He grew up in Canada. His mother was a white, French-Canadian actress who later moved to France and he lived there for awhile. His black father made a living playing a saxaphone for donations in the subways. He would roller skate all the way across town everyday just to watch Russell practice.

The feeling here is that we have nothing left to cheer for and the loss of Russell Martin is unforgivable. I'm happy to see that he landed in a place where the baseball fans are as crazy about baseball as Russell is. He's a good one.
