Off to China again. Three weeks this time. No WiFi on international flights. Will have connectivity until I leave Chicago at 19:50 tonight. Then almost 15 hours of no Internet. ARGH!

Safe trip it was, but the travel log of JO'Co, it does sound. I schedule my trips with layovers long enough to minimize affects of delays. I arrived at Austin airport 2 hours before the flight, as usual. After three delays and then being told that the commuter plane (Austin to Chicago) they were using had no working bathroom. Diabetics and three our flights sometimes have issues with these situation. I rerouted my trip to become: Austin to Dallas, Dallas to Chicago, Chicago to Beijing, and then Beijing to Xian. I got here to the hotel in Xian on Sinday at 13:30. That's Saturday night at 23:30 in the Central Tims Zone. I should have been here 30 minutes earlier but I got the only cab driver in China that didn't learn to drive in Formula One. I don't think he learned to drive anywhere. Minimum of 30% below the speed limit the whole way.

JIF, as far as language goes, The semiconductor industry is almost 100% english or ESL (English as a Second Language) Although all are not very good with English, I do give time for the ones that understand the best to explain to their less understanding friends. I am also in the process of learning Mandarin Chinese - slow progress.

Looks like Singapore in March... Not locked yet but looks promising. Would much rather go to Singapore than China.

Back on US soil. Was supposed to be here yesterday but the flight from Beijing to Chicago was cancelled due to a generator failure. I am now in Chicago with a plane that is late... hasn't even left Toronto yet. At this rate, I may not get home today. Chicago is expecting a heavy snow storm starting between now and noon. My flight is supposed to leave at 08:30.

T...its as bad as ive seen in my76 years here . The jet stream is just bringing us storm after storm. Today they put out a ROOF ALERT for the area. 6 inches more snow tomorrow followed by snow..sleet..rain wednesday. Several roofs have gone down already and this next batch can only be trouble. We could get what they call Roof Ice Daming. There are people on Craigs list offering their services to shovel snow off roofs before the next round!

JIf I have read that this is the worst winter for you guys since they started recording weather data.

What are you going to do with all that snow? Once it starts to melt you are going to have flooding, right?

Cindy is blaming me for bringing the freezing weather back with me from China. If it hits freezing by tomorrow night she may be ready to send me back.
