Our Cub Scout leader sent us home early from our Sunday evening meeting because he knew we weren't paying attention.

8) Yes all the girls loved the Beatles. As Terry pointed out, they were so clean-cut that even our mothers loved them. Of course, us teenage boys weren't terribly impressed. We were out for total rebellion and the 60's were just getting started. Our favorite band made its first American appearance later that same year, right near here in San Bernardino, California. Here they are (also in 1964) at Wembly Stadium in London. The Rolling Stones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1S3R_UVXCWs
Feb 1964... 86% of all the television sets in America were tuned in to watch the same show and to witness the improbable: a British rock band that was supposed to be as good as anything the Americans themselves had produced... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIqnoRevPAw

Now here's a wee bit O'local history...the Beatles live at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964. One of those screaming girls in this audience is my future wife, Mrs. JO'Co... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_XP1ip5OrA Same event; home movie... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbJIQ1X0fV8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOBim3RZdaA
I was in college at the time. I took my little brother to see them live in Indianapolis. The girls sitting behind us at one point were beating on our backs as they screamed.
 thank you joco your the bestest love you more than Paul.... was having a really bad day yesterday he found this for me.... We were on the west side of the bowl about 10 box's back from the water (the bowl has box seating in it it is quite unique) my dad took me and 2 friends my dad was dressed in a suit also. and we were not allowed to scream stand up yell or embarrass him at all untl about the 4th song then he just smiled and said go for it .its all Debi June and I could do... one of my best memories also saw them 2 more times. but was the only time w.my dad .. how loud was it.. well my dad was in england duringWWII and a whisltle bomb landed near his bunker. so after a certain pitch he has hearing loss for about an hour... so needless to say he couldnt hear after the concert .for about 2 hours.... poor daddy but he had fun too... he loved Dusty Springfield. and said Ringo reminded him of Gene Krupa,,
