Ugh! I just can't root for Auburn. I won't root against them but I cannot envision myself ever being excited over Auburn winning a game. The only mitigating circumstance is that I need all SEC teams to win in order to help the Alabama strength of schedule. :x

    Lol...

BTW: Anybody figure a defensive tussel for the 1st qtr. Although I sense a shift towards the Ducks they should get a score to start the 2nd qtr!

Well, I don't hiave much faith that the Ducks can get it going in the 2nd half all their speed, tempo, trickery, etc has been negated. Not to mention they are getting run over by Auburn.

Wait, wait they haven't tried the fumblerooski yet. How about the statue of liberty. That was a pitiful 1st half by both teams. Why did Oregon go for 2 and why didn't Auburn kick the field goal. Onside kicks and fake punts on the menu.

Seriously TCU was screwed. They belonged in this game not Oregon.

I wasn't impressed with either team tonight, but Auburn wins. It's going to be a long year. :?

And next year......all else being equal....who gets the benefit of the doubt?

I can't see why some don't get it.

You show up....you win against a myriad mix of other BCS conference champions and you go home with the trophy.

    Seems pretty simple.

<t>This Auburn team has to be the dirtiest I've seen in a long time. Kicking, facemasks etc. you name it. Is this football or WWF. <br/>
    <br/>
They got a way with a lucky win.</t>

    1. Congrats to the Auburn Tigers. The deserving NC team and BCS Champ.

    2. Uhm, Dave...as to your greater point, you have to be kidding me. Year after year the SEC Champ has rolled someone in the NC game. This year they went on a FG as time expires.. you realize, this game makes my point. You get the benefit of the doubt when the difference of the game was a last second FG? No... that is neither clear, nor convincing.

Related to the topic, I wasn't near a computer. WTF Kelly? You throw when you should run, and run when you should throw for the 2nd straight year in a BCS game. It's a great offense, you might want to keep using it in a BCS game next time, you're 0-2.

Corey.....next year all that will matter is that the SEC is on a 5 game straight tear in the BCS Title game.

That's all the coaches and voters in the Harris poll will be thinking about when it gets down to crunch time.

    Yawn!

Oregon looked like they didn't practice for this game. I think there are several coaches out there who think their teams could have beat either of these two last night.

    On to baseball.
