Qatar is going to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup! Crap, they have zero infrastructure and most people I know who get stuck there in the Oil Bidness hate the place. There is nothing but sand and desert and 1 city.

How in the hell are they going to have the number of stadiums that are needed, the hotels, the basic infrastructure to handle World Cup tours, fans, and all that goes with it.

While they certainly have plenty of time to build stadiums, a new Airport, new hotels, etc. They still have all that sand and desert. Unbelieveable.

Oh yeah thanks Bill Clinton, I wonder if his presentation was as self serving as Obama's Olympic presentation!

A neighbor kid almost bought the farm when he was stationed there in 2002 with the USAF. He was at the front gate of the base when a Mercedes pulled up about 75 yards away. The driver got out and started shooting at him and another guy with some kind of automatic weapon. All Ryan had was a sidearm and a concrete barrier which he got behind just in time. He had to hold out for a minute until the Humvee came out with a 60cal and shredded the Mercedes and the towelhead inside in short order.

    Great place to play soccer.

One report I read was that they were going to build air conditioned stadiums. The video shows holes in the roof. I suspect that is for showing the interior from above rather than the actual designs.
After the event they claim that they will dismantle the stadiums and give them to poor countries. That had to score some points.

It's a big dirt pile, and is an Islamic country so good luck getting a drink and I don't know how they'll handle all the sex, rock'n roll, hedonism that goes on around these big events.

how are these guys going to handle the English, Dutch or German fans? Holy hell... this is gonna go bad.

Especially the English.. at least our Marine Corps has rules of engagement. The ManU fans are an armed Stanford band of loyalist, racist thugs.. and keep in mind, ManU is MY favorite team. I'm being kind.

We had Eric Holder and that guy from Sesame Street representing us. How could we lose?
