I'll never trust the SOBs ever again.

I plan to never give them a dime in interest or fees......ever.

As long as you pay it off every month there's no problem. This way you still get the card protection on your purchase without paying interest. We have been doing this for twenty years and have never paid interest, but we only have one card and "always" pay our expenses at the end of the month if we happen to charge something. If you plan on purchasing anything on the internet you have to have a credit card.

    :p
Prepaid cards are the answer. You can get them at WalMart and buy as many as you can afford. I own stock in Green Dot, so you'll be helping me too...

We mainly use the debit card ourselves but remember when purchasing gas or buying products online with a debit card, if you get hacked it gives them a direct line to your bank account. I talk from experience on the getting hacked enjoyment.

I prefer to use cash if possible just to piss off our cashless society....

I don't blame you...in the just the last two years, people just like you, I and mom and pop have refused to pay back over $100 Billion of somebody else's money they rang up on credit cards and now refused to pay it back......setting the nation's recovery back, forcing layoffs and job loss, increasing the national deficit and our reliance on our Chinese lenders.......stealin'' peoples money like that, putting the country in a hole....hell, I wouldn't trust those cheatin', lyin' ne'er-do-well, deadbeat SOB's either.

    Uh....that is utter B/S.

I have always paid my debts......never have run out on them....even when the predatory practices of credit card companies have arbitrarily jacked my rates up just because they can.

Might help if you read the entire quote.....

It provides a useful perspective to understand that there are people everywhere stealing billions from them and looking to cheat them at every turn as well......

Credit card companies will never lose. If you scam out on your obligations they'll just jack my rates up to cover their loss. They will get their money. I'm siding with MCG on this issue. Those sonsabitches are predatory and they do suck.

It's not about sides Krebsie, just a simple recognition that not all the crooks in this story wear pinstripes or work on Wall Street.....no sides, just reality....

.....and there is no doubt that many of them recognize the reality of my point as well.....for a variety of reasons.

    BT,

If my mortgage company was having a bad year.....due to defaults and bankruptcies by others they were still unable to completely change the rules of the game with my fixed rate loan on my home loan.

That was not the case with credit card companies and nothing about that makes it right.

Are you suggesting that theft, fraud and corruption perpetrated against credit card companies and artificially driving up costs for all makes it right?

Simple question.....is it wrong to steal/commit fraud against credit card companies and when people do, are there costs to society as well?

I just have not seen you answer the question.....but from your rhetoric, one can infer that credit card companies do no right and serve no beneficial purpose and their legions of customers have never done any wrong......

You never asked the question.....of course it is wrong.....very wrong.

Why would you even think otherwise? Is that something you would consider yourself personally?
