First....down 10-7 early in the 2nd qtr he orders up a fake punt deep in UF territory on 4th and long.....2 yards short and FSU scores the next play to make it 17-7.

Then....score is 24-7 and the other Qb Jordan Reed brings UF all the way down the field shortly before half into the redzone and then Urbs bring in the totally ineffective John Brantley for one play....only to throw an int.!!!!!

Can't stand to watch this train wreck anymore.

LSU-Ark is a great game at least.....

Gators just looked confused for the most part on offense. I'm sure that by the time the season starts next year Meyer will have sorted out his qb situation. Three QB's is even worse than 2 qbs.

Gator defense is fine, even though they gave up points to FSU, I don't really think there is much of a problem there that a consistent offense won't solve.

Of course now that FSU seems to have momentum on the field they will get back pretty fast to being a serious recruiting rival to UF. UF and Meyer have sort of had their way with Fla kids the last 5 years. Might have to do with a few less 4* players.

BTW: MCG was right the LSU vs Ark game was a great game. Between LSU and Boise State losing the BCS bowls are sort of thrown into turmoil.

    Right now.

    Auburn/Oregon BCS Champ
    Wisc/TCU Rose Bowl
    Oklahoma State/Stanford Fiesta Bowl
    Ohio State/Ark Sugar Bowl
    FSU/UConn Orange Bowl

That is very true except that they begin to quit a little after other things don't go the team's way on offense.

This a deadly trait I hope the coaches can get rid of by next year.

The defense reacts this way because of their complete lack of faith once the offense begins to unravel. In this case today the O had two miserable fumbles and then Meyer outhought himself on the ill-timed.....ill-conceived and confidence busting fake punt.

This post from a Gator message board explains how the UF-FSU game went south for UF and sums up my own thoughts exactly:

Why all the early in-game panic by Meyer is what I would like to know.

Did the same thing vs. SouCar.

I'll stick with my observation of three weeks ago. Meyer is not a healthy man.

I don't think you are right George but only time will tell.

Tough time for Gators but it's been a long time since we had a season like this. By the end of the year we were just a shell of a team.

Anyway the coming months will be interesting.

I don't think Meyer is unhealthy per se but he is set back psychologically by the health issues he had.

His failure to truly embrace the head coach position this year is a normal reaction to a traumatic event that might take a while.....maybe another year to recover from.

With regard to QB who knows?

I say if Meyer stays with Addazio and they together want to run the spread option then Brantley needs to transfer......period.

Is it true that the Gators trashed the FSU visitors lockeroom after their loss last weekend?

I heard he was checking out Delaware.

That would be a good move for him.

It's the only thing the kid can do, right now they only bring him in on 3rd and 10 and he's under the gun to get the 1st down. He can't play the position in the Meyer offense like Burton or Reed or maybe even Driskel who is the #1 QB in the country and a Gator. He needs to get out of there if he wants to play.

If he wants to showcase his pocket passer talents I can't see it happening at Florida.

I doubt we will ever get a pure pocket passer to sign an LOI while Meyer is coach.
