Molinas' throw to pick off 'Stro's catcher at first was awsome. What the hell was he thinking anyway with the winning run on 3rd?

Back to basics for Oswalt.....ya gotta touch 'em Roy.....he he he he....

Lidge Blows another game. I'm begining to think he's on the Card payroll. Of course Wheeler helped. We should have done no worse than a split with the Cards if our bullpen had been even decent.

BTW, Jimmy E's catch Friday night was All-World.....

You know what the worry is though Doc? We've done the same thing for the last 3 years, and then you guys wake up in the playoffs. It ain't over yet.

    Husker..

<t>This was a very important mental series for the Cards as they have been playing awful baseball. They still need to improve and build on the series but that was a gutty job this weekend. I'm not real sure its not better to have a smaller lead than run away and hide like the last two yaers when they won 205 games. Long season so we shall see.<br/>

Glad for the break and to be 4 up in the standings.</t>

July 18, 2001. Jeff Bagwell hits for the cycle in a 17-11 slugfest with the Cardinals at Enron Field. ...BTW I still like that name better than Minute Maid Park. I long for the day when Minute Maid's contract runs out!! :)
