to coach the Redskins? Spurrier, Joe Gibbs, Somebody, Nobody, Shanahan, who's next.

Last nights game certainly put that big contract that he gave Donavan McNabb into perspective didn't it. :)

Heard this AM that money mentioned by agent is greatly inflated. New guaranteed amount to McNabb is about 10 mil. With end of CBL coming up Wash. wanted to lock him in and not lost him to free agency. He's probably the best QB Snyder has had.

How much do you think he'd pay for Vick? I believe he's a free agent after this season.

If Vick can stay on the field the rest of the season, he should be getting a pretty hefty raise, will be back in the bucks.

When he went away for the dog deal, I figured he'd never make it back to football and with his bankruptcy and all the financial deals going bad that he'd be working at Walmart in the future. I was pretty far off.

Heck Marcus Vick might be able to get his old job back driving Michael.

The early reports of that contract were hugely inflated. The facts are that the Redskins are only on the hook for $3.5M. If they want him on the team next year it'll cost them $12.5M. Same for 2012. Pretty much the going rate for a QB with a franchise tag.

Idiot Redskin fans are already calling for Shanahan's head. Never mind that he and Bruce Allen had a decade of Vinnie Cerrato's mess to clean up. Other than McNabb and the rookie LT they just drafted, there is no one on the offense that should be starting. They've got the worst O line in the NFL, no WRs that scare anyone, and no RBs. Dionne Sanders had a great line Monday night about the Redskins: "McNabb could walk through an airport checkpoint with the Redskins' weapons because they couldn't hurt anybody."

The defense is no better. They switched to a 3-4 this season but don't have the personnel for it. The LBs are old and slow, and the D line is backup material.

It's going to take Allen and Shanahan a couple of years to retool this team. Allen made terrific use of the uncapped year and dumped $40M of dead weight from the roster, and paid off the $100M man (Haynesworth) and Meangelo (sic) Hall's hefty bonuses. Right now their payroll for next year is about $70M, about $60M under last year's cap.
