Looking good for the Republicans. For sure the House is back to us and the Senate will be very close.

I watched MSNBC for awhile with Matthews, Olberman, Rachel What's her name and a couple of other dudes. Wow, what a bunch of know it all, self serving, douche bags. People who claim Bill O'Reilly is a bully and a douche bag, must not have ever watched these morons.

No the garbage truck is about to deposit the biggest piece of trash I have ever seen right into the governor's mansion here in Florida.

What a bunch of illiterate idiots we have in this state.

This jerk Rick Scott spent 60 million dollars of his ill-gotten cash to pay for this position.

    OH well........it's hopeless.

A Republican Latino Senator in Fla. and a Republican Latina Governor in New Mexico. If this keeps up, Obama might just start inforcing immigration laws. :)

Bye Bye Nancy.....the people have spoken on their view of social democracies and the role government in their lives.....go away. America is the land of opportunity, not entitlement. Accountability and self-determination will once again rule the day.....achievement and performance are to be rewarded and admired not vilified and punished.....God Bless America.

I think that the day of the Tea Party being a foil for second rate cable comedians is at an end.

They went in one year from the butt of off color jokes to shaping an entire election and they accomplished this "on the fly" with unbridled anger and enthusiasm as their only capital.

Interesting pattern in Texas Gov election. White (former Houston Mayor) won the big cities (Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston) but lost the rest of the state except the Rio Grande Valley and was soundly defeated by double digit in % (13) by incumbent Rick Perry.

California is hard to figure. State economy in the toilet. Debt beyond comprehension. Daily invasion of illegals continues unabated.

They have an actor as governor who ran as a Republican and governed like a democrat. They can replace him with one of the most successful women entrepreneurs in business history but they choose a burnt out old flower child who by his own admission does not have a "plan" and governed the first time around by the seat of his pants.

They have an opportunity to unseat an entrenched lifer in Barbara Boxer with yet another woman business superstar and pass on that too.

JO'Co, what the hell is going on out there?

Of course you would prefer the candidate that actually cheated during the televised debate and then lied about it.....it's Scott's money, he can spend it on anything he wants.....

    The corner store?

<r>I saw Christine O'Donnell, ( Delaware Tea Party ) on TV this morning say that the top 2% of wage earners in the the U.S.......I think meaning over $250,000.00 annually was typified by people who owned and operated the "corner store" and that if these guys had more "certainty" about their upcoming tax rates then they would have more jobs available ( no doubt for the erstwhile formerly well-paid and now impoverished executives who are out of work )

Wow.....first of all I should have majored in "corner storeology" in college.
I had no idea the mom and pop corner store operators were swimming in huge incomes.

Secondly.....I can't wait to see what happens if those corner store guys get their tax break and then decide because they now have certainty that they will save this economy by going on a hiring binge of part-time $7.50 per hour store clerks who will undoubtedly have so much cash on hand as to purchase homes, cars and appliances.....not to mention expensive family healthcare policies.

Now...I know there are those of you here who are now financially set for life and it wouldn't be possible if you didn't get that minimum wage job some 40 or 50 years ago when you were raising a family at age 18.

These minimum wage jobs launched your careers so you think creating minimum wage part-time jobs for aging executives and ex-factory workers is just the great jobs creation policy that this nation needs to get back on track or as the GOP Gov. elect here in Florida says....over and over and over.....ad nauseum...

....."Let's get to work".......

Is there a point to your rant or are you just angry that the American people wised up and kicked your socialist pals to the sidelines hopefully just in time to save the nation from the great social experiment?

Interesting stat on the election in Harris County (Houston). The early voting results showed 79% of those voting pulled the straight ticket, with 67% of those pulling the Republican Ticket. The 2008 election was almost exactly reversed. Net result, lots of lower down the ballot candidates such as judges, various county positions, etc were cleaned out in this cycle just as they were in 2008.

MCG has a basic distrust of most everything and is willing to cast his fate with socialized government. Your next move should be to Europe.

Business is at a standstill waiting for Obama to make his move on the Bush tax cuts. No hiring, lending, building or investing until then. You may not like that but that's the way it is.

    Amen to that Krebsie.....

While there is meaningful uncertainty and anti-business sentiment on the part of this administration, there will not be meaningul investment. Until there is meaningful investment, there cannot be meaningful growth. Until there is meaningful growth, there cannot be meaningful employment gains......speaking of corner stores....this administration has evidenced that it doesn't have the business acumen required to run a lemonade stand, much less a corner store.

    ....let me explain:

Does what she is saying make sense to you??? ....and she represents the
    new movement????

I lost my job when my company decided they could dumb down the job money wise by paying a younger associate a pittance compared to what I was making.

Of course to him it was a step up so he didn't care. Actually a ruthless great plan except it backfired and they now have 1/4 of the business that I managed.

The catalyst for all of those developments was of course the souring economy, lack of credit for car buyers and subsequent doom for the Big Three.

No trust earned in that situation.

And now I have had this tax certainty = jobs creation jammed down my throat in the media and one of it's standard bearers has this sort of drivel to wake up my day??

This tax certainty/tax break is geared for the same sort of business owner as my ex-employer who mistakenly thought he could make a fast buck by going the cheap wage route.

It certainly isn't geared ( I hope ) for the "corner store" operator who can only hope they are busy enough in better times to hire on minimum wage earners. These owners certainly do not even come close to the $250,000.00 personal income threshold that everyone is and will be all abuzz about in the coming weeks.

If you think the latter type of jobs creation is what is going to turn this economy around you must be dreaming.

The American public must be thought to be primarily made up of morons by the GOP and the Tea Party.

It makes all the sense in the world to anybody that has any appreciation for our economic system and understanding of the critical linkages between tax policy, capital investment, small business and private sector job creation.

It likely makes no sense to somebody whose only intent is to bitch and moan and a fundamental misunderstanding of the term acountability and self-determination. Morons indeed.....

First of all the "corner store guy" is out of the discussion if it is to make any sense financially......they don't make enough to qualify for the discussion and they don't have meaningful job hires.

If she means people like the owner of my former company....well he ran a 250 employee....20 million dollar company.

But I know the guy and I can absolutely tell you that he isn't going to spend one dime more......hire one more person at his company.....even for minimum wage....unless he feels his business needs demand it.

The fact that he continues his own personal tax break on what must be an income of say around $350,000.00 is absolutely not going to influence any hiring decisions he makes regarding the firm.
