Tonight I fly down to Florida, get about 5 hours sleep, then leave the Stuart inlet by 06:30 for the long crossing to the Bahamas on a 28 foot boat. Spending the next five days Marlin, dolphin and yellow tail fishing off Grand Bahama Island. You guys hold the fort until I get back!
Isn't 28' a tad small for that sort of trip? I hear Tiger leases his craft when he's not using it. Have a good time! Terry
We're so laden down with beer we might sink before we clear the inlet! Nope, we'll be fine. If we catch anything noteworthy or see any naked native girls I'll post pictures on my return. Take care fellas. Gilligan
Sounds like an awesome trip George. Good luck seeing those naked native girls.....and maybe you'll catch fish too as a bonus!
I wonder if he'll see that Congressman from New York who got into trouble with his rendezvous on Bimini or Gary what's his face the former Sen who ran for President and challenged the media to call him on his bimbo cruises! Terry
Greetings from Abaco, Grand Bahamas, where the crew of the Jolly O is stuck in port due to a tropical wave that has produced gale force winds. If it weren't for Stoli and ladies in thongs we might be going stark raving mad. Yesterday we couldn't take it any more and braved the 5-7' seas for a little fishing and scuba. Caught our dinner. Closed the bar down last night. Still windy this AM. Heading back to Fla on Friday in big wind and 4-6' seas. 200 miles. No sign of Gonzo.....this was written on my PDA using a wind blown satellite signal... hope you get this.
Man...closing the bar down and girls in thongs sounds pretty damned good George. 5-7 foot seas is a bit uncomfortable though. I have been to Fla/Keys every May for the last 7 years to fish and drink rum and I can vouch for the windiness that you are experiencing although I normally don't venture offshore in those winds. Godspeed to you on your journey back.
Send pictures...not of you...but those ladies so we can all live vicariously through your adventures!!
