I know personally how Urban feels. I had a medical crisis at age 40 and it has shaped my life since. For a couple of years I laid off the stress....content to cruise along. But after a while I realized I wanted to live life to the gusto....to the fullest.....and I had to immerse my whole being into what I was doing to be able to do that. I would say my that was best move for me and it paid off. But.....I needed the money to live life to the fullest and Urban does not. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he retires from Florida and comes back later...........in South Bend!!
Actually, Gip, according to one recruiting guru, their poaching might not hurt us at all. Tom Lemming says that it could improve our recruiting. Recruit Decommit Actually May Benefit ND's Recruiting
LOL...great minds think alike! I was thinking the very same thing when I was looking at our recruiting a few hours ago. I had been concerned that the Irish were running out of scholarships to give, when I realized that if ANY of those three (Williams, Drew, French) took Burton's place, we would actually be better off. This could work out fine... re: Urban Why would we want a .500 coach in South Bend? We already have one...
