Derek Dooley the WW II Historian?

I don't know why coaches get themselves tied up in comparisons like this one. I've read it twice, and I still don't understand his point. I like the guy, and I think he's going to get TN going in the right direction, but this comparison makes no sense to me.

Yeah I saw that. Hopefully the press will let it die quickly.

 

I know most Gator fans actually like this guy.

If one day he beats UF regularly at least we think he will do it with class.

This should be put on the back burner for sure.

Wow. I have no idea what point he was trying to make. It seems to be both bad history and bad football. Let's hope he doesn't repeat this...

 

He'd have been better off going with the "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" speech.
