Computer ranking musings: Surprisingly high computer rankings: Mich St, Okla, TCU Surprisingly low computer rankings: Alabama, Oregon About what I expected: Ohio St, Boise, Auburn, LSU Prediction: The LSU-Auburn winner jumps into the top two
Computers are what will keep Boise out if they go undefeated. As I said in another topic, if they continue to win with good style points the humans will likely keep them at #2.
I remember in prior years complaining about the computer polls but getting some flack. I still feel the same way. I am not sure how it works, but Oklahoma seems to always be better in the computer than the polls. The year LSU beat Oklahoma I think that USC was first in both polls but fell to third because of the computers. I think the AP was still part of the BCS at that time and still voted USC number one. The AP then dropped out later. I still don't trust the computers. But hey it isn't going to make any difference to the Gators this year.
Oregon vs UCLA tomorrow night, which UCLA team will show up? Will it be a close game or a blowout? I'll be sitting there with my popcorn, rooting for the Bruins!!
