    Sounds like a good idea doesn't it? Probably is a good idea as a small portion of the solution to our power needs, and if they are located out in West Texas probably really good! But apparently you don't want to live very close to the suckers!! :)

    I've seen these 123' blades being transported north toward Michigan on I-69 in NE Indiana. Believe me, they are HUGE. I can imagine that they create gigantic swoosh sounds as they turn, which would be aggravating to anyone living nearby.

    I've driven right past that Palm Springs site. That was like a scene out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind :shock:

    Those big turbines are a common site in northern France/Normandy all along the Channel coast line....hell, if frenchy can suck it up and deal with it, I can't imagine it's that much of a burden. 8)
