Not quite the kind of game I anticipated today, but was happy with the win.Illini always seem to play us tough and especially in Champaign. Wind is frequently a factor there and today was no exception.

Pryor had a good day with his legs, but not so efficient with his passing. Two TDs thru the air with short throws. Looks like he is ok, but when he went down my heart skipped a couple of beats. Not very comfortable with Bauserman if we have to depend on him in a lurch.

We held Shorhuse (sp) their tailback for the most part, with the exception of the one 25 yeard burst.

Defense played very well in the second half. Illini heped us out with several key penalties near games end.

Big Ten competiotion always seems difficult on the roand and today was no different!

Win is a win.. Would this game qualify as Tressel ball?

Yes, but I lerned later Pryor was not anywhere near 100% after returning to the game.

We took what they gave us and not maybe all Tresel ball.

    Don,

It appears as if that was a very, very costly win.....Pryor's return to action was a very good sign, but his mobility was clearly limited and Coach went into full on Tressel ball to protect his hobbled QB.....20 of the next 24 plays called were handoffs to the tailback. I'm not optimistic that we will see a full speed TP the rest of the year.....

On the defensive side, we lost perhaps our best playmaker Tyler Moeller likely for the year - nothing official as yet but rumors of torn pec. He will be missed greatly....not only given our limited depth took another huge blow, but the kid was just a player always around the football sideline to sideline - a huge pain in the a$$ for opposing offenses.

Any conference road win is a good one, but we paid a very high price.....

Tress says Pryor can still make big plays with his arm even if his legs aren't there.....UGH. Not exactly was I was hoping to hear....good news on some fronts, at least he believes he is good enough to go....

Moeller underwent surgery, out for the year. Gotta feel for the kid after everything he's been through.....

Crap happens on the way to the end of the season.

UF started this season with two major weapons that were on the team contributing during the title run of 2008.....Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey.

Demps played with a sprained foot vs. Bama....limiting his ability to run wide and Rainey had a case of the stupids and got himself kicked off the team.

UF could have used all the help on offense they could get last Sat.....at least with Rainey in maybe they could have scored a time or two near the endzone instead of the ineptitudes they had in the RZ.

    But....that's the breaks.....literally.

Hope Pryor has a speedy recovery and goes full speed because it looks as if the Big 10 presents some dicey games ahead for the Buckeyes.

Did say that.....but I think the Gators could have used him.

Maybe could have lost by under 20 points. :(
