Should be a yawner but who knows with a young team lacking in depth.

You never know Tom what could happen when you play these C-USA teams. Most of them are pretty good on offense. Of course most of them are pretty bad on defense. :)

The rest of our season is going to be rough. Probably won't see a bowl this year. It's not that it took overtime to beat UAW, it's that we do not have the depth to last through the 4th quarter. We went into the halftime break up 23 - 7. They outscored us 16 - 0 in the second half to take it to overtime.

This will be a good to great team next year. I expect to see baby steps of improvement this year.

    :?:
If Georgia fires its coach at the end of the season, will Dooley stay at Tennessee?

    y'all got issues dude...

Not poking fun or sugar coating things but UAB is NOT a good team. They do some things better this year than they have in a while, but that's a team you should have smashed.

Lane left you guys without a whole lot. You looked well coached. You look to be in position and on assignment. What worries me for you is that you're losing matchups to guys that aren't SEC caliber.

    Tom,

Tennessee probably going to have some growing pains this year, but nice win yesterday.

    Guys,

I totally understand our situation. It is not good. It's quite on par with Georgia's. So according to some here, we should be on top of the SEC. Huh, MCG? He chimed in that is an excellent coach. I was questioned when I thought otherwise. Now it looks like Mark Richt IS on the hot seat.

It would be our luck as of late that Richt is dismissed and Dooley goes there. I hope not. We need stability.

My take on watching UT-UF is that Tenn played hard and were a well coached team.

That's all you can ask until you get better talent in there and I agree they need to keep Dooley to keep that consistency.

I didn't think Richt s/b in trouble until I read he is 2-7 in his last nine SEC games.
