Yeah you have to figure that a true freshman QB in his first road start might be in over his head at Alabama.

I think we match up well in this one. The Penn State freshman may not be able to take advantage of our young DB's. Alabama SHOULD be able to win this one. :)

Chris Fowler just made me laugh as hard as I've laughed in months.

That will be the only time Tide fans are down today though... Bama big.

Alabama = Offensively very good. McElroy super efficient and Richardson is awesome. Defensively needs a lot of work. PSU drove the length of the field 3 times and thankfully for us turned the ball over each time. We never did put much pressure on their freshmen qb

Penn St. = Young qb too many turnovers, and they had no answer for our offense.

As things look now I would say South Carolina is the only team that should concern Alabama.

The Bama defense is plenty tough for the Florida O which has no crispness whatsoever.

I also see TR and Ingram slicing through the UF D at will with an occasional HR to Julio.

Probably should keep the downfield passes to a min. though as the bright spot on the entire UF team other than Demps seems to be the defensive backfield.

BAMA looked really, really friggin good. From what I could see, they are solid on both sides of the ball. That is one tough nut team. I don't see them losing this year.

Bama does look bad ass right now.

The only thing I could see slowing em up is the schedule and the fact that they should be taking their SEC foe's best shots every week after those teams have a had a bye.

Eventually that could take a toll but I can tell you Florida won't be a problem because there isn't enough attitude and execution on this year's Gator team just yet.

Y'all are underestimating the luck it takes to go undefeated. Last year our defense was awesome and the offense was pretty damned good and we still needed a lot of luck and tremendous effort to beat both Tennessee and Auburn. This year our defense is not nearly as strong as last year's. I am not nearly as confidant as y'all. I hope you are right...I just feel that you aren't. :?

You never know how things will turn out when the teams actually meet but look at this section of teams from today's AP poll:

    10 Florida
    11 Wisconsin
    12 Arkansas
    13 South Carolina
    14 Utah
    15 LSU
    16 Auburn

If Bama goes unscathed through that it would indeed be impressive.

Luck....please. That team I saw last night looked better than the year before. '94 we won it.....'95 there was no doubt. Reminds me of Bama.

Geez, I got the Gator wanting a loss, I got the Shipmate fearing/expecting one....C"MON.....

    AJ,
I believe defense wins championships and our secondary is very young and last night we did not (could not?) put much pressure on the freshman qb. He threw ints and they fumbled in the red zone. One good point, our rookie kickers seem to be doing very well. If we make it to the NC game, Saban should get Coach of the Year.

    You guys,

    KP isn't wrong.

There is a very real concern among the non-retarded Alabama fans/friends that I have in that they can't get the pressure they are going to need to beat teams that will throw the ball all over the field (ala Arkansas).

Last year, they pasted the Hogs because Mallett didn't have time to throw. If Arkansas can give their QB the time that PSU did, he'll drop nearly 450 yards on that defense and I ain't kidding.

Saban is a fantastic scheme man defensively. The concerns that KP (and others) are having is a very real concern. When no one could so much as slow down Mallett, he shut them down and made them look silly. To do so this year, he will need to do the same thing..and right now, they can't.
