Interesting Read. hint: Alabama wins NC again, and Ingram doesn't win the Heisman again! Brian Kelly wins 9 games or more. Predictions
Ingram hurt his knee yesterday. Minor surgery this morning. Out for at least 1st game. He will be week to week after that. Maybe Trent Richardson can win the Heisman.
....I'm sure.....he can't. RE: Bama repeat....maybe. Barnhart is a Georgia Bulldog.....fyi. I like my man Herbie....unveiled his pick UF as SEC Champion tonight. YOU GO....you ole.....you....buck.... eye...... you.........
Corey, that is possibly true. However it is very nice to have them both. I hope Ingram comes back soon.
Bummer about Mark Ingram...hopefully back soon. It will be interesting to see how much time Eddie Lacy gets behind Trent Richardson while Ingram is out. I hope this guy is right about Bama but as has been pointed out on this board many times repeating extremely tough. Hell, look at Fla. last year...Gators correct me if I'm wrong but I think they had the entire 2-deep returning on D (basically unheard of!) and most of the O returning, including a stiff-arm trophy winner. Although a lot of the reserves had significant playing time, it's still worth noting that Bama replaces 9 on D. Either way, it should be fun....RTR!
Did pretty well too for the most part but they were not a cohesive unit with all team players at the most critical time. That is a hard thing to maintain all season long. Both Bama and UF are replacing defensive stars this year and that is the major reason not every prognosticator sees a repeat.
If you brought back all 22 starters the odds are still against a repeat. Even the best team has to have a few bounces go their way to make it through undefeated. That oblong ball takes funny bounces, and weird things always happen...
That is very true. With all of the stuff above in mind, it would not surprise me if we lose 2 games this year. Our defense is not going to be able to save us like last year and our kickers have never played one down in college. If Saban pulls this one off, he really is a genius!
George Denny was the president of the University of Alabama for about 20 years in the early 1900's. About the same time Alabama started winning national championships!
