TT certainly has the buzz going in the NFL. I am sure you have seen all reports....most merchandise ever sold with a rookie's number....etc. http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20100821/ARTICLES/100829888/1136?p=3&tc=pg The question is....while I saw him score a Tim Tebowesque 7 yard rushing TD last weekend he was also hurt ( ribs ) on the play. If he doesn't change his style I don't think he survives three seasons.....unless he is riding the pine behind Orton.
Dave. I agree. Tebow's a great kid.. but if he doesn't change his style of play, he's going to get killed. It's not about toughness.. it's just a different game played at a different level. It's like boxing.. Some guys, you can just go toe to toe with... other guys, you gotta keep moving.
Playing in college and the NFL are two different things. I agree Tebow will have to change trying to run over NFL defenders.
I cringed when he took that hit running for a meaningless score in their exhibition game with the Bengals. Watching that game I would give him a pretty good grade. But I would also say he still needs to work on that long windup and not be so ready to take a hit. But he also showed he could pass for good accuracy, sometimes while being under duress.
They were saying that the Broncos were developing a package for him, most likely heavy on the Wildcat stuff. I still think he is a very long shot to develope into a NFL QB.
Even a quick avoid the hit guy like Mike Vick (in his prime) was always missing a game here or there due to nagging injuries that could be attributed to his style.
He did hit that receiver square in the hands though on what should have been a 40 yd. TD play. Showed just enough to make the next time out interesting.
