Dear Gator Bill, I, through my continuing education believe that,.....however....(pause for effect).....I must point out the fact that the dominant human population at the very start of America, in the territory that eventually became the Great State of Nebraska, was the Sioux Indian Nation. The Sioux Indians relied heavily on the Great Plains Buffalo population for not only nurishment, but ultimately their overall survival. We all know how the story happens after that. White man shows up, kills almost all of the Buffalo, new sources of fresh meat protein are now needed. Concerns of how to feed the masses rise as the nation grows. Cattle, Hogs, Longhorns, Jayhawks, Tigers, Mildkitty's are added to the menu... January 1996. GATOR, the other 4 legged meat is introduced. Goes over very well and eaten in large chunks by the Nebraska nation. LADIES AND GENTLEMAN...WELCOME TO THE 2010 CFB SEASON!!
Pretty good AJ, ...... pause for effect.... however we must also add that after the Husker nation added Gator to their menu in Jan of 1996 that after a couple of year delay their performance declined and has only just recently began to recover. More pause However the Gator population has reached new heights of greatness. This is more like the current version of the Gators.
Uh... Bill.... Pssssssst... come over here. Said in a very low voice: You might want to look at that extremely long thin mouth on that Gator... People might just point out that the critter you posted is a Crock. 8)
Pretty impressive Gator, too bad somebody had to kill'em. He deserved to live on! Probably wasn't hurting anybody, just scaring the bejesus out of them!
We do have a saying on our farm that the only good gator is a dead gator....This gator (not photoshopped) weighed in at 660lbs and was 12' 6" in length... He had sucked under the week before a 150lb boar hog that escaped from a hog trap we set up. When he grabbed the wild hog and picked it up in the air to do the "death roll" it was like he was picking up a slice of bread... The scary part was that he was in about three feet of water in an area where we routinely washed off our hands after catching wild hogs...And for legal purposes yes this was all done legally and by a certified gator hunter....On the 3,000 acres I manage we have an estimated 1,000 gators in the resevoirs and canals.... RC
So yer sayin' that there is no 23' Gator!! Next you'll be tellin' me that Lake Placid isn't a documentary!
