In the spirit of some comments posted in another topic regarding the Clinton's I post this article: http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/07/02/obama.economy/index.html?hpt=T2 Now.. fair or not......sooner or later and probably sooner Obama will have to take on more responsibility for the crappy economy we are mired in. Today's jobs report was pretty miserable and the fact that 652,000 Americans "dropped out" of the count is inexcusable. Those are the most important numbers of all to me. But then again.....I give a sh*t because I have been there.
We all care. For me, I had (and to a certain extent still do have) one foot on a banana peal ad the other dangling over the unemployment cliff. Our office being down to 5% of what it once was is as close as I ever want to be.
I would imagine the same group will be expanding but I don't see the Democratic group expanding because my guess is that category already has the votes it will get from the far right side who I suspect hold more true in their beliefs to the hard line right than to the historical facts of the matter. From an on-line poll on CNN.com: Which party bears more responsibility for current economic problems in the United States? Republican 49% 109038 Same 26% 59113 Democratic 25% 56492 Total votes: 224643
Blame game could 'boomerang' on Obama, strategist says From CNN http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/07...ice is like the first day for this president.
Seriously Dave, giving any credence to a CNN poll is useless. CNN continues to crater in the ratings as more and more Americans turn to FOX for news http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/30/business/media/30cnn.html I assume that those left watching CNN are the Obama, Democrat faithful who can't stand the "majority" news. A poll of ACORN employees would be just as useless.
It's just my impression and opinion, but I don't think CNN is nearly as politically attached as its two major rivals, Fox and MSNBC, which may be the reason for the decline in ratings. Different folks have different TV viewing preferences. Personally, I'm only into entertainment or sports on prime time TV. I've never been interested in watching TV talk shows at night. I'm guessing that the total combined size of the viewers of the three major talk networks represent a minority of TV viewers, and it is within that group that the ratings are divided. Whatever the case, the ratings certainly tell the story of what's happening.
I like Fox News Foxes!! ...Megyn Kelly, Martha MacCullen, Courtney Friel, etc....
CNN is the station with the holographic images during the presidential elections... I think they are about entertainment and ratings just like anyone else..
