I'm not posting this link for the obvious reasons... instead I wanted you guys to see the bit of speculation in the last couple of paragraphs on page 2 about the XII returning to 12 teams.
I got a laugh out of it, and figured some of you would too...

    Teams to XII

Yeah well I wouldn't hold my breath on either the Irish or Arkansas joining up in the new B12.

BTW was it you who emailed Bill Byrne???

I've been at odds with BB on a few things, but never enough to send vulgar emails.
Besides, I've always assumed that stuff is screened, and never made it in front of him...

Some teams have had to change their logo's as part of their deal to remain in the new Big Tex 10 conference. :)

Tommy Tubberville, aka Tommy Tubesteak, says the new B12 won't last.
OK Tommy tell me where Texas Tech will be going so that they get that better deal.

    B12 and Tommy Tubesteak

Now I'm not saying that the B12 is solid and everybody happy as clams in sauce, but it won't be Texas Tech leading the charge to a new and better deal. Unless he thinks CUSA or the Mtn West is a better deal.

I think he is right, but it won't be Tech leading the exodus.
It will be A&M and/or OU.

The money isn't going to pan out as advertised... that seems almost sure.

When the disparities begin to widen for teams that do have options... this will come up again, and next time I don't see any promises being effective.

It's an article I pretty much agree with until she starts talking about Arkansas and Notre Dame. No way and no how with either in my opinion.

I think that Texas A & M gained a world of respect and power in this little drama. Ok big drama. Any how if the new conference doesn't work out so well I believe Texas A & M and Oklahoma can pretty much enter the SEC if the itch develops.

I think the SEC is very happy with 12 teams, but I also think that if the 16 team mega conferences flair up again that the SEC would go after those two and I also think we would have a pretty good chance of getting them.

While Texas Tech may not be any driving factor in the Big12/10 I don't think I would take Tubby's thoughts so lightly. If there is not equity in the conference it could lead to more dissatisfaction and an eventual breakup.

If so look for the SEC to move quickly.
