Hey as long what we do doesn't endanger the health and livelihoods of millions of people or even one person for that matter. We do pride ourselves on our DOT safety rating and it cost us $$ to keep that up. RE: Three Mile Island.....now there is a scary thought. Makes you wonder if a BP type rules bender doesn't own and manage one of these nuclear powder kegs. What a mess that would be.
How much luxury tax do you think rich big boat owners should pay for the priviledge of using up more resources than a poor guy with a 18' Whaler does? 30% on top of the price of the boat? Plus the haulers of said boat should also pay a big tax for the excess wear and tear on the highways that their trucks do over and above my Murano.
Not my field of expertise here but I imagine our use taxes per truck far outweigh that of a passenger vehicle.
Hey....my right wingedness kicks in when you mention what I am doing for a living now. I depend on those money mongering....tax evading......Dow monitoring.....probably mostly right wingers who eschew estate taxes and rights or assistance for the "small people" to move those expensive boats of theirs. Long live Big Oil and Wall Street!!!!
Please help us find a way to blame this one on Bush Our powerful government at work: Our powerful unions on the wrong side as usual: Why can't we do this?!?!
Good damned question and it underscores why we are continuing with this mammoth problem. We are lame as a country right now.....
And more evidence BP doesn't care: http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/06/30/gulf.bp.ombudsman/index.html?hpt=T2
