Match between Isner and Mahut has been suspended it's 59-59 in the 5th set. They have been playing for 9.5 hours. They started the match on Tues afternoon and it was suspended for darkness, now it's suspended again for the same reason.

However I think this would be a typical summer match for gipper in his youth! :)

Back when I played we usually played 3 sets but there were not tiebreakers back then. Sometimes all three sets went for some time.
The sad part is, the player who usually wins marathons like the one today, usually lose in the next round. It's hard to recover after playing that long. The fact that the match was suspended might be a real break for the winner if he doesn't have to play again right away.

Hey, I was the first all-city (NYC) athlete in my HS's history. And I made the freshman team at ND. Sometime in the beginning of Nov. when I was practicing in flurries and on occasion beating players who were getting scholies, I decided to pass on playing Soph. year. (Oh yeah and I also met Mary that year and had better ways to spend my idle time. :D

BTW, I told you that I could've been the Nebraska Golden Gloves Middleweight Champ if it wasn't for all those surgeries I had......

...I kept having to have canvass removed from my back....

.....but I made alot of money though......I sold advertisement on the bottom of my boxing boots.....

......there's 96 lights on the ceiling of the Omaha Civic Auditorium.....

......I knew my career was over in my last fight when the guy got into the ring and said, "Which ones the referee?....cause I'm gonna kill the other Mother Fu.........
