Had a great Saturday. Cards win and beat my Irish for a stud HS QB. He may go pro baseball though but the Irish wanted him badly. :x
Franklin almost blew that....how about Motte throwing in the High 90's in relief? I wonder if Larussa is thinking what I'm thinking? Sorry about your prospect.... 8)
Wasn't Motte slated to be the closer coming out of camp a year ago? Then he struggled and Franklin got the job. Pretty impressive heat he throws.
Ya know, I don't know Bill, ever since they've got rid of Isringhausen, they been bouncing around with closer's. Personally, I think Franklins better coming in mid game.
Larry, you mean this Kid!! BUBBA STARLING You had me confused when you said the Cards beat you out at ND. Well, I'd say I was sorry for your loss, but you and I both know that wouldn't be my style when it comes to Nebraska FB. Anyway, if you folks (ND) join the Big Te"N" you might just see him play on Saturday....
Bubba Starling has a lot of upside, he's a tremendous athlete. He will most likely be drafted for MLB and have to ultimately decide whether he wants to play college football or go the MLB. Most likely if he's a 1st round choice he'll be headed to baseball, beyond that a lot of these kids choose college baseball/football and take their chances that they will improve their draft status. From what I have read, right now he is not a sophisticated passer, but he has a lot of potential, probably won't be a freshman starter and will benefit from a red shirt year to work on his passing game. Congrats, I really wanted Bubba, we've never had a Bubba at ND. But when I read that his mom said ND was "nice" I figured...uh oh...usually moms loves ND.
As .... <t>Long as I have watched recruiting I had a gut feeling after he visited ND three times and did not commit when he and the Mom were there he was not coming. Kelly will get a top QB as he always does but they wanted this guy in spite of the baseball possibility. Nebraska got a good one.</t>
