OK so after watching the USA/England and most of the Germany/Australia match I still don't get the "excitement" about soccer. Mostly kicking the ball around between the goals, with occassional shots on goal. Heck that 4-0 win by Germany was a huge beat down, similar to Texas beating Louisiana-Monroe 75-0. 0-0, 1-1, 1-0...those are some exciting scores. Maybe we should bring back the tie to real football!!
If they don't ban those damn horns (vuvuzelas) I'll go crazy. It sounds like a million bees. I'd rather watch the games with no commentary than listen to that ****.
Watched a little bit of Brazil vs. North Korea. I thought the North Korean cheerleaders were pretty cute. http://www.dailycomedy.com/images/jokes/b/northkorea.jpg
Bobda....I'll be honest with ya....your pissing me off with these cameo appearances you've been making lately.....WE NEED MORE BOBDA on the Skybox menu...........just a thought................please? BTW, have you heard what's going on in the Big te"N" lately?.....here, I'll try and paint a futuristic picture for ya....about 3-4 years from now....AND (OMG)IN THE BIG HOUSE....about 60,000 plus Red Clad Loon's chanting......"GOOOOO BIIIIIIGGGGGGG REEEEDDDDDDDDD".....or words to that effect. Put's a twinkle in your dinkle doesn't?......
If the damn horn noise wasn't enough, if watching time after time euro-floppers rolling around on the ground hiding their face in feigned agony wasn't enough, the officiating was just terrible....no flat out dishonest. It would be interesting to know what the call was that negated the US's apparent winning goal. Possibly offsides except the asst ref. who would signal that didn't. It could have been a foul on the US but replay only showed Bradley the coach's son who scored the tying goal in a bear hug from a defender. Near as I can figure, the ref just didn't want the US to win so he waved it off. Complete horseshit.
Plesae..... <r>Wake me when the entire thing is over.................................... <E></E></r>
North Korea loses to Portugal 7-0...Dear Leader will not be happy, the salt mines might be where the N.Korean team practices next!
If they are lucky, Terry. A story that circulated after Iraq lost a critical World Cup qualifier was that the players were forced by Sadaam's son to practice by kicking large stones resulting in every player having fractured toes, forefeet, etc. Dear Leader seems to be even more vicious and depraved than Sadaam's devil spawn given his refusals, at various times, to allow food to be sent to his country during times extreme famine, resulting in mass starvation. I hate to think what is going to happen to those players.
French team landed at an out of the way airport, the President of France...he of the hot wife...has threatened to investigate the team. Maybe those N.Koreans are getting off easier!
I'm surprised that those assholes in Congress don't hold a hearing on the whole World Cup competition.
Speed, that's what it looked like to me...Ghana just looked faster. I wonder if the american black community will ever embrace soccer and give us an counter to the speed of the teams like Ghana.
