I was really into the finals because of my college roommate's lifelong tie to the Blackhawks as his favorite pro sports team. I was his backup for game 7 if for some reason his wife could not make it, but we both hoped for a win in Philly to end it. I am very happy for him.

Tough series for Red Wing fans. We knew either Pronger or Hosa would win the cup. Either way, it sucks....

Semi-related question. Given that Illinois residents opposed to native american symbols for sports teams forced the Fighting Illini to get rid of the Chief, do the BlackHawks have an person in an Indian costume at their games?

The three times I've been to BH games, I've never seen a mascot, nor does the crowd do any FSU-type chants or cheers.

IMHO the home Blackhawk jersey is the best in all of pro sports. I think at one time the team was the Black Hawks but the consolidation of the two words is the only change that they've even considered.
