I saw where he met with his players and told them the Cavs have made a big offer and he has some serious thinking to do.

I would really hate to see him leave college coaching. I think he's a class act and a great coach. But I understand he's at that point in life where a big payday would secure his retirement. But also he has to know that virtually no college coaches other than Larry Brown have ever done well in the Pros. Not Mike Montgomery of Stanford, not Tim Floyd of Iowa State, not Rick Pitino, not John Calapari....can't think of one other than Brown.

It's been no secret here for the past week. MSU has some players who chose to stay for another year rather than go to the NBA. I'm pretty sure, Izzo may be just using this as a way of showing that he is willing to do the same.
In any event, it won't be like Pete Carroll who ripped Sanchez for leaving early and then bailed on USC when the piper approached for payment.

I hope he stays and when Brey retires  he decides that returning ND basketball to glory is his real passion!

This is smoke all the way. He can talk, but he will not leave MSU for the Pros.

Suppose he commits and Labron takes off? I know he's friends with Dan Gilbert the Cav owner but.....

They keep saying that they are not consulting with Labron over the coach, but if I'm Izzo I want 1)major $$$ to leave MSU and 2)Assurances that Labron is resigning with the Cavs.
