I don't understand a few things: 1) Why can't Tennessee kick out an offensive rebound? Every time, they keep it under the goal and get it ripped away. 2) Why is Steven Pearl on the court?
Well, it was a great run but we ran out of steam at the end. The Michigan State defense was too tough in the paint. Thus my question #1 above. Congrats to Michigan State. Tennessee did better than I expected and I am proud of their efforts.
Didn't see Tenn/MSU but watched Baylor/Duke. Duke made their FT's, got a lot of offensive rebounds and hit their 3's a combination that is hard to beat. Baylor on the other hand bricked their FT's, didn't control their boards, and it looked to me like every shot they made was contested and a very tough shot. Duke/WVA should be a good game. I really do expect MSU to take care of Butler, a case of experience vs no experience.
Proud... <t>Of the Devils today winning what amounted to a home game for a good Baylor club. Next Saturday should be fun.</t>
I'm sure that's what Syracuse and K-State thought. I'm not normally inclined to go against Izzo, who IMO is by far one of the best coaches in the country, but...........Wanna bet?
Hey Tom, you lost what may have been your best player earlier in the year and went as far as Kentucky in this tournament. You lost to a team that has been in the final four six out of the last 12 years. You had a very successful year. I hope we can be more competition next year.
Tom, you should be proud. As a result of the way your guys played, I now know their names and will be following them in the future. I think Pearl is an outstanding coach, on his way to being great. It was a classic heavyweight fight that came down to a split decision, so to speak.
