Meyer <t>Meyer is coaching, he's not coaching, he is, he's not, geez this guy is a real case. Can he make up his mind or not? Must be tough down there in the swamp.</t>
Tim, things are not at all tough down in the Swamp. Those that have been following the Gators and Meyer are not the least confused. He took a leave and he is back. End of case. As to the articles in the CFN, there are so many lies and distortions in those articles it's hard to count. Just a few Tebow as not thrown right back in after a concussion, it was two weeks later and he was cleared by a group of experts from around the country Meyer's reaction didn't have anything to do with St. Tebow as one of the jerks said, but about his receiver Thompson who was catching heat from some quarters because of his remark The confrontation lasted about 30 seconds and I understand there was no yelling. As a general comment I can only say those articles reflect more on the people that wrote them than on Meyer. Here is an article from SI showing another side. Oh That Urban
If the reporter was so out of line, why did Meyer apologize? I don't mean this to be taken the wrong way but are y'all sure that Meyer took enough time off? :?:
Since no one knows what Meyer said and we only have the reporters word that he accepted the apology we don't know what Meyer said or if it was mutual. I know that on more than one occasion I have apologized when I didn't feel I was wrong but it was the best way to bring things to an end. And kp we in Florida think he's the best judge of how much time he needs to take off. I probably have to add that I would bet that no matter whether Meyer apologized or they just made up I believe the reporter got the picture. And by the way on an interview on espn before the apology he was pretty gracious and complementary of Meyer. So I am jut going to take it that they reached an understanding and move on from there.
Here's an article and a video from GatorCountry. I am not always clear if it's an insider article that I can't post or not, but if it is you won't be able to read it, if not you can. I don't think it was. Meyer and Fowler Clear The Air
