It's been that kind of year hasn't it...I wonder if the Cinderellafest is over or will we see Xavier and St. Mary's in the Elite 8 as well?
For those that missed the end of the Butler game, here's a replay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGL0uuCxXyQ
Great movie. A side story: The mayor in the movie who is in several scenes is a friend and fellow ND alum, Mike Dalzell. He is a career stockbroker who was active in amateur theatre in the Indy area and tried out for the movie. He got the part of mayor and became an instant celebrity among his friends and family. He even jokingly gave me an autographed headshot photo. I returned the favor by giving him an autographed head shot photo of moi.
I had picked the Bulldogs to go out early in the tournament, simply becuause I thought they were ripe for an early upset. Like West Virginia, they always seems to find a way to win. They have really been a strong tournament team.
I'm sorry I didn't watch the 2nd half and OT of the Xavier/KSU game it must have been an instant classic. Xavier just seems to reload on the coaching front, doesn't matter who leaves for a better paying job, Thad Matta no problem we've got Sean Miller...what he left...no problem bring in the next guys..Chris Mack. Mack looks like he's cut from the same mould as those other guys.
I fell asleep near the end of regulation but woke up in the first OT session. Both teams played flawlessly for the most part and traded baskets up and down the court. A fantastic game and as one reporter noted the best game fo the tournament thus far from a fans viewpoint. It was like the last team to have the ball would win. Don
Butler is going home for the Final Four! That is one scrappy and intelligent team! Makes for a great story line and I will be rooting for them. Fantastic performance.
Interesting, Butler does not like the "Hoosiers" comparisson. That team in Hoosiers wasn't as good as the team they beat, but Butler believes they are one of the elite programs. Maybe they are right!
I thought they were going to win it when they had the ball to inbounds with 13 secs left. Not to be though. Great season for the Bulldogs.
Well, Butler didn't wait to lock up Brad Stevens. If he fulfills his new contract, he'll be the Butler coach until at least through the 2021-2022 season. Brad Stevens signs a 12-year contract
