I do not know about the rest of you Skyboxers, but picking teams to advance looks rather precarious to say the least. There are a number of very good basketball teams in the field.

Trick as always is to pick the early upsets. Unfortunately I have not been very successful at that in the past.

Good luck to everyone in the Yahoo Pickem Contest!

I have several upsets in the first round. As I stated earlier, that may change... it may even be a higher number. :?

I wonder if you picked all underdogs on one sheet and all higher seeds on the other sheet which would score the most points?

Made another topic essentially about this one before I saw this one.

My dilemma is that you hardly ever win one of these brackets without picking the winner. I like Kentucky....slightly......but the Cats haven't even been to a Final Four since 1998....which is surprising given their rich history.

No one has an easy road it seems....... :?

Dave, no harm in two topics but if you wish, I can delete the other one.

I really wonder how Syracuse is going to fare in the tournament. One key injured player can really cause some wild swings. Makes your picks a bit in the dark.

UCLA and UNC....not in this year's tourney.

The list is winning percentage.....in the tourney this year.

Sid may have had a snappy comeback but you can look at all time winning percentage....and consider all teams with 40 games or more and UF is way up there surprisingly with some great programs.

Is it me or do most of the upsets always happen on the early games on Thurs? Maybe the favorites aren't awake yet! :)

Hard to say but the first round always seems to have some giant killers.

For example Ohio University just put Georgetown out of the tournament and in very convincing fashion.

Incidentally John Groce, their coach, served as an assistant to Thad Matta at Butler, Xavier and Ohio State.
