I guess Arnie was wrong in his statement that Tiger would play in his tournament. Tough way to start for Woods, after his prolonged absence on the tour. I imagine people at the Masters are delighted! (Not to mentioned the networks)
Don, IMHO, it's highly unlikely that Tiger will roll into a Major without having at least 1 competitive round under his belt this season. I would think that if it's not Arnies Tourney, then one of the others prior to the Masters.
Well, guess I was wrong. Tiger just released a statement. I'll go on record saying he doesn't make the cut.
Heck I don't even hit balls before I tee them up..why would Tiger need a whole tournament to get ready!
I guess it makes sense. Some things naturally follow such as: Ladies---Lords Dutchesses---Dukes Mistresses---MASTERS BTW Over 60 today. Me and my advil got in 9 here for the first time this year.
Now you can see the true story of Tigers addiction and how he was cured!! South Park Documentary on Sex Addiction Warning bad language, and all sorts of weird sick stuff, or just the usual South Park Episode!!
Tiger is practicing at Augusta this week and he's sporting a Budhist braclet as well. I will be the first to tell you that if he wins or just plays well and finishes in the top 10. I am converting to Budhism and will be wearing a braclet myself!
In the end Tiger did much better than I thought he could, he definitely showed some rust, but give that he finished at -11 it was obvious that he's pretty close to being Tiger. I thought it interesting that they kept making a point about the V grooves hurting Tiger's short game, maybe so, but it's not like they just gave him those wedges on Thursday. Also could there have been a greater contrast between family man Phil and his adoring children and wife and Tiger who if he'd won would have been alone. Will Tiger ever get his family back, so that if he wins his wife will be there for him at the end?
This is Phil at the Krispy Kreme in Augusta yesterday morning!! Now we know where those man boobs come from!! I guess if you wear your Green jacket around Augusta you get comped at all the good places!!
I see that Jim Nantz took Tiger to task for his behavior at the Masters. Sort of suprising if you ask me. While I would not be suprised at any print media types who took him to task, it sort of seems out of character for Nantz to go negative on somebody like Tiger.
I wasn't impressed with his attitude in his post Sunday interview. He came across as a spoiled little creep. When he started off the conversation with "Well for starters, I finished 4th...." How about this Tiger...."I really appreciated the applause and support I received from fans all week, even though I didn't win, I'm happy with the results after 5 1/2 months of not competing. I look forward to getting back on track for the US open and hope to give my fans another major championship with a better showing than I provided this week. Once again, I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the support from Augusta, the fans, media and fellow PGA players this week. I still have some things to work out in all aspects of my daily life, and knowing that I have everyones support that I have as witnessed this week, that will help me to motivate myself to provide exiting golf for my fans, and help me overcome my recent shortcomings in my life." Or words to that effect.
No doubt he should have said what you said. Maybe a trip to Dixon for a weekend of attitude adjustment is what Tiger needs.
