On a day when future HOF slam dunk Peyton Manning tries for his second Super Bowl ring I post this article about Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice getting in to Canton on their first try. Two of the biggest slam dunks I can remember for the HOF. http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20100206/ARTICLES/100209569/1136?Title=Emmitt-Smith-a-NFL-Hall-of-Famer
Tim Brown didn't make it, but that was expected too many great WR eligible this year and this was Tim's first year eligible. He'll get in some time in the next 5 years and then Jerome Bettis will also get in not on the first year but he'll get in. That'll put the Irish at 12 HOF and 2 Heisman/CollegeHOF/ProHOF athletes. Gators got their 2nd and right now I can't see where their 3rd will come from. Did you guys know that Curly Lambeau was a Notre Dame guy? I wonder if AJ can name 1 of the 3 Neb HOF members without googling!
Yup, Tim was inducted last year into the College HOF, and it won't be too long till he's in the Pro. Cris Carter probably will be the next WR inducted I think this year was Carters 3rd year of eligibility.
